Frantoia is filtered through special cloths which enable the oil to hold microscopic pieces of olive in suspension, adding to its fruity taste. This oil is full flavored with an excellent balance between buttery and herbaceous flavors with a fruity bouquet. Frantoia is an ideal general purpose oil to use from drizzling on bruschetta to sautéing and comes in a 500ml bottle.
Gaeta olives are small and round mahogany colored Italian olives. Cured in brine and slightly bitter, they are Italy's version of the French Nicoise olive. As with all olives, they are delicious served with all table cheeses, salamis and other antipasta! Genoa Salami This is the classic salami from Genoa, Italy. Made with pork and red wine, it would be a great addition to your next party. GIA Sun Dried Tomato Paste This tomato paste is a delightful twist on a traditional recipe. Real sun dried tomatoes are combined with the classic ingredients of tomato puree to create a paste that will add a unique flavor to meats, vegetables, pasta, casseroles and sauces. Use it everywhere you use tomato paste to spice up your recipes. Girolle The full flavor of Tete de Moine is only revealed when the cheese is scraped or peeled in thin ruffles or rosettes using a girolle. The girolle consists of a wooden stand with a vertical rod. A blade is mounted on the rod so that it can be cranked in order to scrape the top of the Tete de Moine cheese. The girolle machine is a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys fine Switzerland cheese. The set also makes an impressive display at a small party.
Serrano Ham is made with fresh ham of the white pig that's been salted, hung in cool conditions, cured and aged at least nine months. It is similar to Prosciutto but is less salty than its Italian brother. Serrano is essential for any tapas and is delightful when served with aged Manchego. Our version is imported from Spain, aged for 18 months and is sliced to order.
These olives come from the Northern Italian coast that borders France. As a result, the olives are like Nicoise olives but are a bit more buttery and less acidic. They are a great addition to any antipasto plate. Montegrato Dry Sherry Vinegar-8 Year While Balsamic vinegars from Italy have become a household staple, you may not be so familiar with the Spanish counterpart, aged Sherry vinegar. This particular vinegar is made from Oloroso sherry wine. Aged for 8 years in oak barrels, it develops a dry flavor perfect for salad dressings, sauces and any other place you'd use Balsamic vinegar of the same age. |
